API Integrations

Definition

API integrations connect software systems so they can exchange data and trigger actions programmatically.

APIs are the action surface for many agent systems. They allow an agent to create records, retrieve data, update statuses, send messages, schedule meetings, generate invoices, or trigger other workflows.

For SMBs, integration quality often determines agent quality. If the business tools do not connect cleanly, the agent cannot act cleanly. Before building advanced AI, a company often needs to clean up the boring pipes: CRM fields, permissions, webhooks, APIs, and data structure.
